For some reason, I am thinking of that oft-banned book. I wonder why.

Given the post below, I can surmise why. You feel at your intellectual peak. You dread letting that slip away. I understand that.
The women of my family are very long-lived. But the one I take after in almost every way had Alzheimer and Parkinson disease. Her body betrayed her before the mind went, and I think that's slightly scarier. She was gone a good 10 years or more before she left us physically. I'm grateful it isn't early onset though.
