Thinking outside the box
Well, thinking outside the box insofar as any happy shiny critter with a brain the size of an almond can do so...

*now now* cat's brains are bigger than almonds! What a purty kitty that is, too. Looks like he was just outside in the rain.

No, he was actually *inside* in the rain. He has a bad habit of parking underfoot when I'm getting out of the shower. So I'm standing there dripping wet, straddling him, reaching for the towel to dry off, and he's just ignoring all the water droplets falling on him because they just roll off of his shiny black fur. After thirty seconds or so, though, he gets tired of being dripped on and leaves.
We go through this charade every morning, and he never seems to learn that if he parks himself where he does, I'll drip on him when I exit the shower. Or maybe it's a game for him? I dunno!

Aw, my wonderful cat, Saddie, used to wait for me to get out of the shower. He would lick the calf of my leg to help me dry off. He was an amazing cat.
Your kitty can't read to well, can he. I know he thinks that word on the box says, "mice", but it doesn't. Poor beautiful shiny kitty!

No, he thinks the writing on the box says 'Food'. Hey, it has two o's in it, after all.
This is a cat who can pack it in. I have him on a strict diet, and he still hits the scales at 18 pounds.
